Evelyn Brady, editor of Our Mothers: Reflections on a Great Generation, a compilation of poems and stories written by local women authors about their mothers, unsung heroines of the 1940s and 1950s, will visit Dog Ears Bookstore & Café from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 3 for a book-signing event to benefit Buffalo Peace House. The nonprofit community bookstore is located at 688 Abbott Road in South Buffalo.

Proceeds from the event will go to Buffalo Peace House.
The brainchild of Mary Callahan, founder of Buffalo Peace House, Our Mothers offers insight into the joys and sometimes heartache of the unalterable bond between mothers and daughters. You may discover your own mother or she may find herself between the laughter and tears of the variety of writings and insights found in Our Mothers.
Proceeds from the event will go to Buffalo Peace House, a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving individuals and families seeking asylum in Western New York.
