Local Author Wendy Wasner will visit Dog Ears Bookstore & Café from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, for a meet-and-greet and to sign copies of her book, A Second Chance, a story about love and loss.
Sophia loses the love of her life Roger, but finds a second chance at happiness with a new love and a realization that her daughter is alive all these years later.
Wasner has recently self-published many books through Amazon, including children’s stories such as Hannah the Horse, Polly the Panda, Paige the Pumpkin, Rosie the Red Panda, A Turtle for Steven and others. She has penned a poetry book titled Nature Poems, a book of Haiku, Secret Agent Serena (a book of seven short stories that follow the character Serena as she goes undercover), and many others. Wasner also hosts a creative writing group on the second and fourth Wednesday of the month at the Julia Boyer Reinstein Library on Losson Road in Cheektowaga.
Dog Ears Bookstore is located at 688 Abbott Road in South Buffalo.
